Where are you based and do you travel?
A. We are based in Edinburgh and Glasgow and mainly work in Scotland, but distance is no problem - we love to travel and adventure! We do not charge travel expenses for weddings within 50 miles of the Edinburgh or Glasgow city centre, but we will give you a price up front for travel costs for further afield.
Do we get to meet you before the wedding?
A. We would love to meet you and hear all about your wedding plans. We like to take the time to get to know you, give you the chance to ask us questions and discuss details. We also offer an embrace the awkwardness session (if you fancy it!), to help make you feel a bit more comfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day.
What is an 'embrace the awkwardness' session?
A. We know how awkward having your photo taken can be *cringe*. Let's be honest, most of us do not get excited at the thought of having our photos taken. But we say, "embrace it"!
Everyone is a bit awkward and that's OKAY! By getting together for an informal session, we can get to know you, we can all have fun and you can get used to being in front of the camera. That way, you will know how we work and you will feel more relaxed on your wedding day.
You choose the location - maybe somewhere with special memories or just somewhere you like. The session would be no longer than 30 minutes, because in reality we would not take you away from your guests for longer than that on your wedding day. You could even consider getting your make-up trial done the same day - it will make you feel nice and you can test out how your make-up looks in the photos.
Will you visit our wedding and reception venue prior to the wedding?
A. We shall always visit venues that we have not been to before as this helps give us lots of ideas and inspiration for how best to approach your day.
Do we get digital copies of the photographs?
A. You will receive a personalised USB of all selected photographs for your own use in a mix of both colour and black and white. We are happy for you to print and share your photographs at no extra cost.
I would really like to see what my partner gets up to on the morning of the wedding. Will you photograph their preparations too?
A. Absolutely. One of the big benefits of there being two of us is that we can be in two places at once. Before the ceremony we can split up and cover both sets of preparations along with the other details that you might not get to see.
Do you also take formal family shots?
A. We are more than happy to take a small number of family group shots after the ceremony, as we know that these are important to most couples and their families. We recommend keeping this to a max of 20 mins, so that you are not away from your guests for too long. We can discuss this with you beforehand in order to establish a list of formal group shots.
How long do you stay on the day?
A. We arrive approximately one to two hours before the ceremony and stay with you until the first few dances.
When should I expect my photos to be ready?
A. Your USB of images will be sent to you approximately 4-6 weeks after your wedding. We shall also upload your images onto your own password protected web gallery for you to share with your family and friends. You can also select any images for your album from here if you would like one.
How do we book you?
A. If you would like us to photograph your wedding, we will send you a booking form and an invoice for a deposit of £400. We shall then reserve the date and put your wedding in our diary! The rest can be paid in full at least one week prior to your wedding. We shall provide you with a receipt via email once we receive payment.
What do we do if we decide to get an album too?
A. You can decide to get an album when you book us to photograph your wedding, or you can wait until after the wedding – we really don’t mind.
